Great Giza! Playnormous is tackling food groups with Pyramid Pile Up! Use your noggin to conquer the pyramid by putting the correct food tiles in the correct rows. Discover the importance of whole grains, different colored veggies, and lean meats too.

Learn about all six food groups:
  1. Grain: Foods from rice, wheat, cornmeal, oats and barley.

  2. Vegetable: Nutritious foods from the ground like broccoli, carrots, and lettuce.

  3. Fruit: Nutritious seed-containing foods like watermelon, pears, and pineapple.

  4. Milk: Low fat or fat free milk and milk products like cheese and yogurt.

  5. Meat: Lean beef, poultry, fish, eggs and nuts.

  6. Any: Discretionary calories or a set amount of extra calories allotted for a person's daily diet. You can splurge here with sugary or fatty foods, but healthy choices are even better.

Preview the Game We want to help kids and their families live healthier lives by preventing obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. Part of achieving a healthy life is knowing about nutrition and physical activity.

We hope that playing our Pyramid Pile Up game will help you to understand which foods fall into which food group, which are full of too much sugar or fat to be a healthy choice, and why it's important to eat whole grain and low fat. After you learn about the different food groups, visit MyPyramid.gov to create your own custom food plan.
Using your mouse, drag the food tiles from the columns to the pyramid in the center of your screen.

Fill each row with foods from the correct food group, but watch out for flying Chompies that want to gobble up your food tiles.

Earn bonus points for choosing foods like whole grains, lean meats, and low fat milks.

Fill the entire pyramid with the correct tiles before you run out of turns or a Chompy gets to the bottom of your screen!
